Biographical Sketch

Pamela Law, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist and speech-language pathologist in private practice in Northglenn, Colorado. She has practiced across the brain injury continuum of care for fifteen years. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1992 and completed her Clinical Fellowship Year at New Medico of the Capital District in Niskayuna, New York.

Pam earned a second Master’s degree, a Master of Science in Psychology from California Coast University in 2001. Pam earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology from California Coast University in August 2005, after successfully defending her doctoral dissertation, “Towards the Development of a Model Treatment Program for Grief and Loss after Traumatic Brain Injury.” She graduated with a GPA of 4.0.

Pam holds the following specialty credentials:

  • Diplomate, American Psychotherapy Association.
  • Certified Grief Counselor from the American Academy of Grief Counseling
  • Certified GriefRecovery® Specialist from the GriefRecovery® Institute
  • Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress and Board Certified in Motor Vehicle Trauma from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer from the American Academy for the Certification of Brain Injury Specialists. She was one of first fifty individuals in the USA to be awarded Certified Brain Injury Specialist credentials (#43).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Her clinical interests and expertise include complicated grief reactions,
GriefRecovery® Outreach Programs, psychotherapy with adolescents and adults who are grieving after the loss of a loved one (recent or long ago), brain injury (traumatic or acquired), motor vehicle trauma, or other traumatic experiences.
